October 12th, 2011

For their Honeymoon, Nolan and Leila headed off to Little Elbow with the horses for five days.  I went out and met them to shoot their after session.

Brett & Angela [Married] | Canmore Wedding

August 5th, 2011

Brett and Angela shared their day with family and friends by holding an intimate park ceremony in Canmore, Alberta.  The Rain showers moved in around noon and threatened to move the ceremony indoors.  After some tough thought, Angela made the call to stick to the plan of holding the ceremony outside.  We were once again bless by the weather gods this year and the rain quickly passed over us, clearing in time for the afternoon ceremony.  Angela and her Dad looked classy arriving in style in a vintage 1956 -Silver Cloud, Rolls Royce.

Here are some of my favorite frames from the day.

Travis & Katherine [Married] – Calgary

July 2nd, 2011

I had a great time at this wedding which was held at the Centre Streeet Church in Calgary.  We had to work with periods of rain throughout the afternoon but the sun broke late in the day which  made for a great time at Fish Creek Park before  we headed to the reception.

Greg & Ruth [Married] – Springbank Wedding

June 21st, 2011

After some wet weather leading up to the wedding day, the bad weather moved out in the morning and it was a great day for this beautiful wedding.   The wedding was held at their acreage in Spingbank.  I was so pleased that Greg and Ruth decided to do a first look before their ceremony.  It’s a special time for the bride and groom when they first see each other at the wedding.  With a  first look before the ceremony they get to soak it in privately.  Here is some of my favorites from the day.

Brad & Robyn [Married]

January 31st, 2011

Brad And Robyn had an intimate ceremony and reception at A Bear and Bison Canadian Country Inn in Canmore, AB.  I’ve covered a few weddings in Canmore but this one was extra unique as it was held on a Monday.   I’m so happy that they decided to do a” first look” before the ceremony.  I’m a big fan of first looks because I think it really gives the bride and groom a chance to soak it up and take in the moment of first seeing each other but in a private setting as opposed to up at the alter where things move fast in front of an audience of guests.

As if getting married wasn’t exciting enough, Brad and Robyn are now expecting a baby!  They found out about a week after the wedding that Robyn is pregnant.  Congratulations guys!

Nolan + Leila Engagement Session

October 18th, 2010

This was a really local session.  Nolan and Leila live about 5 minutes away from me and we shot everything within 10 minutes from home.  We were so lucky to have some pretty sweet light and this time of year around here offers some pretty nice sunsets. I had a really hard time picking just a handful of pictures for this post because there were so many that I loved!   I want to thank Nolan for inviting me to go riding  with him the day after the session out at Mesa Butte.  It had been a while since I had done much riding and he’s convinced me to get my horses back in shape.

Family Session – Tim + Michelle + kid’s

October 16th, 2010

I shoot a limited number of family sessions each year and this was the third year in a row I’ve had the  pleasure to shoot  Tim & Michelle’s family portraits.  I’m really thankful to be invited back each fall and it’s pretty crazy to see how much the the kids grow in a year.  The family is in the middle of a big move and it was great to shoot at their new place even though their not quite moved in yet.  Here are a bunch of my favorites from the evening.

Brad & Robyn [engaged]

Here are a few from Brad and Robyn’s e-session. I LOVE the colors at this time of year!  Which is funny because then I turn them Black and white.
